I’ve been out in the field almost everyday showings homes, doing open houses, and writing offers and I’m starting to notice some a similar mind set with a lot of buyers.
Naturally, everyone wants a deal. But I’m noticing more people keep explaining that they’re not desperate.
These buyers are serious, qualified, and ready to move… but they’ve been watching the market closely and are expecting room to negotiate.
Some are throwing in lowball offers to test sellers and are surprised when the sellers respond and we arrive to a mutually accepted offer.
I’m also listening to buyers say they want to buy, but are worried about timing.”
The most common reason buyers aren’t pulling the trigger are:
Homes are just too expensive
Administration uncertainty
Interest rates
Media headlines about “the market slowing”
These buyers are also serious, qualified, and ready to move but want to find a home with that WOW Factor that they can’t pass up. They’re watching closely, and many will purchase but they’re patiently waiting for the right home or opportunity to show up.
